Arctic Experience

Snowshoehiking is a great way to fully enjoy the local nature, and you may even spot some animal trails while traversing the route. For honeymooners we recommend an independent snowshoe hike along the snowshoe trail leading to the Tikkalaavu campfire shelter, where you can savour hot juice together from a thermos flask. The trail is relatively easy-going; covering approximately one kilometre through Luosto’s picturesque old spruce groves. Snowshoes for the duration of the trip, a snowshoe hiking trail map and hot drinks are all included in the Arctic Eye service.

The Arctic Eye experience cannot guarantee you will see the phenomena of the Arctic skies, such as the Northern Lights, but offers guests the opportunity to experience the phenomena in Luosto, Finnish Lapland.

Good Luck is included! Explore the marvel of Luosto’s unique Amethyst Mine. You can reach the mine on cross-country skis on well-maintained skiing trails, or by riding the Amethyst Pendolino. Every visitor to the Amethyst Mine will be given their very own lucky gemstone, a real amethyst. The Amethyst Mine cafeteria serves coffee and doughnuts, or you can eat your packed lunches by the fire.

Arctic Experience

Kick-sledding excitement in snow-clad Finnish Lapland. Hire an Arctic Eye kick-sled for a day from our reception desk! We will provide you with a warm fleece blanket, ensuring the person sitting on the sled will be warm and cosy. This is by far the best way to see and explore the Luosto resort.

Head out on an excursion for viewing these amazing light phenomena on the Aurora Northern Lights Tour. Learn interesting facts about Arctic nature and the northern skies.
